The first glimpse of "Mufasa: The Lion King," the eagerly awaited sequel to "The Lion King," has been made public. The movie explores the beginnings of the well-known Disney figure Mufasa.

Barry Jenkins' live-action picture 'Mufasa: The Lion King' has unveiled its first image. Thursday marks more than two years since the publication of the title poster for the 2019 smash hit film "The Lion King," and the prequel revealed the first image of Mufasa on a rock. The purpose of the movie is to delve into Mufasa's past and his connection with his brother Scar.

The voices of Scar and Mufasa are provided by Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Aaron Pierre, respectively. Unidentified characters will also get supporting parts from Jeremy Irons and Chiwetel Ejiofor. John Kani will provide the voice of Rafiki the baboon, while Billy Eichner will portray Timon the meerkat. Pumbaa, the warthog, will be voiced by Seth Rogen.

The movie is a noteworthy continuation of the 'The Lion King' franchise, which has made over $960 million in box office revenue and is among the most recognizable and well-liked animated features. The 2019 live-action version, which earned over $1 billion worldwide despite receiving mixed reviews, gave way to the picture five years later.
