There were rumors that Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat, who played Babita Iyer and Tipendra Jethalal Gada, called Tapu, in the program, were dating. Munmun labeled the allegations "cooked up stories" and criticized them on social media at first, but according to a News18 article, the couple just got engaged in a private ceremony. According to the portal, the TMKOC co-stars exchanged rings at a close-knit ceremony in Vadodara, Gujarat, in front of their families. News18 was informed by a source that the engagement happened a few days ago. It appears that the two traded rings in Vadodara, Gujarat. The families of Munmun and Raj attended the marriage and approved of their love. "They have been dating ever since Raj joined Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah," the statement continued.It was clearly visible. Everybody on the sets was aware of it. Some were even positive that Munmun and Raj would eventually tie the knot. That they are now engaged is therefore not shocking.
