Actress Kriti Sanon recently discussed her forthcoming movie, Crew, at the trailer presentation in Mumbai. She also discussed the misconceptions associated with a women-focused movie, emphasizing how this one, which co-stars Tabu and Kareena Kapoor Khan, defies them by being a straight comedy. "Women are good comedians."
Kriti stated, "I feel like, ya phir kuch mudda hoga, ya phir men bashing hogi, all that. Jab bhi koi women wali film aati hai, ladkiyan hain, to sab sochte hain ki serious hai bahot." Women are incredibly good at comedy, as you can see from Aisa kuch bhi nahi hai. (I feel like everyone assumes a women-focused movie about girls will be extremely serious, address a certain topic, or criticize men and other things. However, this movie ignores that, because comedy is a skill that women excel at.)
"Working with women is refreshing."
Additionally, Kriti described working with Kareena and Tabu as "refreshing," noting that although they typically collaborate with guys, this was a unique experience. Working with women was quite refreshing because we typically collaborate with guys. I've admired these women for years because they are so talented. She continued, "The way this film was written and these characters are, there's such life and chemistry between these three. We all look up to them in what they bring to the table and for how they've reinvented themselves."
