The choice by Linkin Park to substitute late vocalist Emily Armstrong for Chester Bennington feels like a betrayal to the singer's mother.

Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda (left) and Emily Armstrong perform live in Los Angeles on Thursday, September 5, 2024. The band's new co-singer, Emily Armstrong of Dead Sara, and drummer/songwriter/producer Colin Brittain were revealed on Thursday.

Following the band's announcement of their reunion, Eubanks released a statement. Colin Brittain plays drums and the singer from Dead Sara is the co-lead vocalist.

The choice by Linkin Park to substitute Emily Armstrong for the late vocalist has hurt Chester Bennington's mother. Susan Eubanks revealed in a recent interview with Rolling Stone that, should the members of the nu-metal band continue to perform together, she would be informed of any updates. But now that the band, also formed by singer/keyboardist Mike Shinoda, has brought in the 38-year-old singer to replace Bennington, Eubanks feels “betrayed”.
