Despite the fact that much of the information is now unknown, the series will premiere domestically on MGM+ before going global on Prime Video.

It's confirmed! MGM+ and Amazon Prime Video have given the go-ahead for the live-action Spider-Man Noir series. Nicolas Cage is set to return to the title role he played in the animated movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The declaration was released on Tuesday, prior to Amazon's New York presentation to sponsors.

Nicolas Cage will be the lead actor in the live-action Spider-Man Noir series.

Variety first revealed that the series was in its early stages of development back in 2023. Cage's participation was not, however, verified at the time. While the majority of the information is still being withheld, the series will make its domestic premiere on MGM+ before going live globally on Prime Video. According to the publication, this is the first time that Spider-Man Noir has been adapted for a live-action film.

Both showrunners and fans have praised the 60-year-old Hollywood veteran for his involvement in the project. "Expanding the Marvel universe with 'Noir' is a uniquely special opportunity, and we are honored to bring this series to our global Prime Video customers," stated Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios.
