Part 1 of Emily in Paris season 4 review: The show's apparent fixation on the issue of Emily Cooper (Lily Collins), divided between her two loves—the athletic British charmer Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) and the amiable neighbor-chef Gabriel (Lucas Bravo)—was alluded to in the teaser for the fourth installment of Darren Star's series. What a wonderful issue to have! However, as the season progresses, we see that, much like the other ones, this one also demonstrates that Emily in Paris is not a surface skimmer. It's less about her adolescent predicament of choosing her next boyfriend and more on her romance with the city.
