Nobuyo Oyama passed away. He was most recognized for lending his raspy voice to the lovable robotic cat from the future, Doraemon. She was ninety years old. Nobuyo, who played Doraemon's voice for over 25 years, passed away on September 29 from natural causes, her agency Actors Seven announced on Friday.
From 1979 to 2005, Doraemon Nobuyo's voice was used to portray the blue-and-white robotic cat. Her agency stated that her relatives arranged a private funeral.
Doraemon and the tale of his relationship with Nobita, a kind but sluggish youngster, were made popular by cartoonist Fujiko F. Fujio in 1970. Millions of fans in Japan and throughout the world have read and watched the manga and anime series, which have been translated into numerous languages.
In the show, Doraemon, who originates from the 22nd century, frequently uses futuristic devices such a "take-copter" and "anywhere door" to assist Nobita in trying circumstances. The voice of Nobita, Noriko Ohara, passed away in July.
