Paul Murphy, Jolie's lawyer, told Entertainment Weekly following her victory in the winery lawsuit that Pitt incited the court battle in order to "cover up serious abuse." He said that Jolie "truly harbours no ill-will toward Mr. Pitt" and discussed her demurrer. Her goal is to get out of this "frivolous lawsuit." Murphy said that Pitt's accusations had no legal foundation, so the judge rejected them.
