Taylor Swift's Cruel Summer and BTS's Dynamite are among the songs that join Spotify's Billions Club alongside BLACKPINK's How You Like That.

Joining Spotify's Billions Club among well-known musical icons like Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake has made history for BLACKPINK. The well-known K-pop girl trio achieved the milestone this week when their 2020 hit song How You Like That amassed over one billion streams. The foursome is the first and only K-pop girl group to date to pull off this accomplishment.

BLACKPINK joins Billions Club and creates history on Spotify.
Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa are the four K-pop idols that make up the group. Because of their widespread appeal throughout the world, BLACKPINK is recognized as the “biggest girl group in the world.” With this new milestone, How You Like That becomes the first Korean song to reach one billion plays on Spotify without the assistance of a K-pop artist, as well as the first song by a female K-pop trio.

The group has joined another K-pop phenomenon that has gained international acclaim, BTS, with its 2020 hit. BTS has two tracks, "Dynamite" and "Butter," featured in the Billions Club. Although this is the first time that BLACKPINK has appeared on the esteemed list, Lisa, one of the group members, has broken the record on her own with the song Money. In addition, Jennie's music video for the song Solo has gotten over a billion views on YouTube.
