Take a look at the brand-new Superman outfit! On Monday, May 6, James Gunn, the head of DC Studios, unveiled a breathtaking image of David Corenswet dressed as the Man of Steel.

The worn-out appearance of the dusty suit complements the toughened expressions of the powerful caped superhero. Corenswet is about to take off and may be getting the biggest break of his Hollywood career.

As Corenswet prepares to soar in his first significant Hollywood starring part, Gunn's Superman, which opens in theaters on July 11, 2025, will unleash the 30-year-old actor's enchantment.

 Rachel Brosnahan, who won an Emmy for her role as Lois Lane in the Warner Bros. DC blockbuster, and Nicholas Hoult, who plays the notorious antagonist Lex Luthor, are both present. In addition, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, and Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho are part of the ensemble.

In the stunning image that Gunn shared, a ball of energy formed by brilliant streaks of pink light appears to be building over a possible alien invasion. Corenswet, meantime, takes his sweet time getting ready for the menacing sight in the horizon while sporting Superman's signature sleek, elegant hairstyle. The most striking aspect of the dramatic reveal is definitely Corenswet wearing the crimson trunks that were previously absent from Henry Cavill's Superman costume.
