The Tonight Show's hosting position could be in jeopardy when NBC reduces the program's weekly schedule from five to four nights.

Jimmy Fallon's position as host of The Tonight Show may be in danger due to recent changes. Many people are taking issue with NBC's plan to cut The Tonight Show Starring Fallon from five evenings a week to just four. So it might completely vanish? Maybe note yet, as the Late Night host’s contract with NBC runs through 2028

When Fallon took over as Late Night host from Conan O'Brien in 2009, he made his debut in the cutthroat world of late-night television.

The charming and lighthearted former Saturday Night Live actor made a name for himself right away. Fallon's style was a welcome change from the more established, senior hosts, and his program was a hit. Fallon was awarded the ultimate late-night TV job when Jay Leno finally left The Tonight Show in 2014—a role that many other hosts could only imagine.

Ten years later, though, Fallon's position is no longer as safe because of the significant changes that have occurred in the late-night comedy landscape. Industry insiders claim that Fallon is coming under increasing pressure as production costs climb, advertisers retreat, and ratings drop.
