In her most recent Fourth of July celebration Instagram post, Madonna said, "A year ago today, I had just come from the hospital after surviving a life-threatening illness." The post also featured her first PDA-filled photos with an unidentified man. 

Madonna marks a year since she made a "miraculous recovery" from a "serious bacterial infection" that nearly killed her and rendered her unconscious just before her global tour.

Madonna is reflecting on the moment when she miraculously recovered from a "life-threatening" sickness in her sentimental retrospective mood. The pop star celebrated her incredible recovery from a nearly fatal infection on social media a year after being released from the hospital.

On Friday, July 5, she posted on Instagram, saying, "A year ago today, I had just come from the hospital after surviving a life-threatening illness, and I could barely stand in my backyard holding one sparkler." In the same carousel post, the "Material Girl" also gave a peek into her Fourth of July festivities.
