An arrest of a 70-year-old for abducting and raping a 14-year-old girl

After the girl described her experience, the security guard was apprehended on the scene and sent over to the Wadala TT police, where the crime was reported.

MUMBAI: A 70-year-old security guard has been taken into custody by the Wadala Truck Terminal police on suspicion of abducting a 14-year-old girl and abusing her sexually in a container on Monday night in Kanjurmarg. When two police officers from the Kanjurmarg police station who were on patrol noticed something strange, they knocked on the container's door and that's how the incident got discovered. After the girl described her ordeal, the security guard was apprehended on the scene and turned over to the Wadala TT police, where the crime was reported.

The accused, a Wadala resident, allegedly works two shifts as a security guard: during the day, at a construction site in Wadala, and at night, at the metro 3 site in Kanjurmarg. The victim, who lives in Wadala as well, is a laundry shop owner's daughter.

On Monday afternoon, the accused met the victim in Wadala. He forced her to sit in a taxi while claiming to be her father's buddy and offering her a chocolate, promising to drop her off at her father's store. Instead, he drove her to the metro 3 location in Kanjurmarg, close to the Eastern Express Highway, and told her to get inside a container that was positioned on the service road.
