Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom is headed for a theatrical release in the United States and Canada. Globally, moviegoers are eager to learn the plot of the movie.

After its September domestic release, Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom is set to make its North American premiere in November, as confirmed by Sony Pictures. The books written by Japanese novelist Kugane Maruyama served as the basis for the anime series Overlord. The plot of the anime series Overlord Season 4 is anticipated to be continued in the film.

Momonga, the story's main character, is a common man who transforms into a character in a video game he is playing. Thus, the tale of the "Holy Kingdom" becomes clear. The Hollywood Reporter claims that Yukie Sugawara is the script coordinator and Naoyuki Ito is the director of the film. The music of Overlord is by Shuji Katayama. So-bin is in charge of the artwork, while Satoshi Tasaki oversees the chief animation and character designs.
