In an attempt to challenge Google, which has long had a dominant position in the search engine market, OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Search. Instead of releasing a stand-alone product, the AI behemoth decided to incorporate a set of new search features into its well-liked large language model ChatGPT on Thursday.

ChatGPT Search "can get fast, timely answers with links to relevant web sources," according to OpenAI. On the accuracy of its findings, however, the jury is still out.
