Santhakumari, the mother of Malayalam actor Mohanlal, passed away in Erunakulam on Tuesday. Mammootty paid their final respects by coming to their house.

 

Santhakumari, the mother of Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner and Malayalam actor Mohanlal, passed away on Tuesday, December 30. The actor was at a shoot when she passed away, and she was ninety years old. Actor Mammootty, a close friend of his, was seen paying his final tributes at the family home.

On Tuesday afternoon, Santhakumari passed away at the family home in Elamakkara, Kochi. She was originally from Elanthoor in Pathanamthitta and relocated to Thiruvananthapuram years ago as a result of her husband Viswanathan Nair's work. According to NDTV, he worked for the Kerala government as a law secretary prior to his passing.

 

According to Cinema Express, Santhakumari spent the majority of her life in Thiruvananthapuram. After she had a stroke, Mohanlal took her to Kochi. According to the article, Santhakumari had a stroke that left her paralyzed and bedridden for the previous ten years. She was transferred to a multispecialty hospital in Ernakulam for treatment.

According to sources, Mohanlal was shooting in the city at the time of her death and hurried home after learning the news. Soon after, his close buddy Mammootty was seen paying his final respects at their house. Regarding Santhakumari's passing, Mohanlal, his family, and his close associates have not yet shared anything on social media.
