Following an examination by the Charity Commission that exposed significant financial mismanagement at Fashion for Relief, a charity she created, Naomi Campbell has been barred from holding public office as a trustee for charities for five years.

The investigation uncovered a pattern of unethical spending, including the use of charitable donations to cover Campbell's personal costs for cigarette purchases, spa visits, and five-star hotel stays.

When Fashion for Relief was founded in 2005, its goals were to promote health and education programs and bring the fashion industry together in the battle against poverty by providing funding to other charity organizations.

The charity also organized star-studded fundraising events in places like Cannes and London to generate money for disaster relief efforts throughout the world. But as the Charity Commission looked into it, it discovered that very little of the money raised had really gone toward charitable causes.
