The victim said to the police that, at approximately 11 p.m., she had gone out to meet her male childhood friend in the Laxmipura neighborhood of the city.

On a desolate stretch on the outskirts of Vadodara, Gujarat, two unidentified individuals are accused of raping a teenage girl as their accomplice restrained her male friend, according to police on Saturday.

The purported offense was perpetrated during a Navratri night, when a lot of people turn out to take part in the city's organized garba events.

According to Rohan Anand, Superintendent of Police, Vadodara (rural), the survivor told the police that she had gone out to see her male childhood friend at the Laxmipura area of the city at around 11 p.m.

Around midnight, five people on two-wheelers stopped them on a remote road as they were riding a Scooty back through the Bhayli neighborhood, according to the police officer.

After a disagreement, three of them stayed, while two of them left. He claimed that of these three, two sexually assaulted the teenage girl and the third person restrained her male buddy.

The youngsters alerted the authorities as soon as the offenders fled. When the police arrived, they roped off the area and gathered evidence. Teams have been assembled to use technical surveillance and other methods to find the offenders," Anand stated.
